Women And Their Love For Shoes

Tuesday, 13. October 2009

When it comes to shoe shopping, women can be expected to take almost as much time as shopping for dresses. We don’t just grab a pair and immediately buy it. It is only after careful deliberation whether the shoes fit and suit us, are stylish and of good quality that we are finally convinced to purchase them.

Shoes are a fashion statement in itself. A woman can devote an entire outfit’s worth of worrying over which pair of shoes to buy. Both an advantage and a disadvantage, women’s shoes are made in many designs which make choosing, if one really has to choose, a difficult and serious affair for girls.

The various designs of women’s shoes include flats, high heels, toe peepers, pointy shoes, closed shoes, strappy or gladiator style, wedge heels– the list can still go on and on. Designers obviously enjoyed making a wide variety of women’s shoes and women just love them for that.

Shoes have taken the limelight in women’s clothing. If before we choose the pair of shoes that’ll go with an outfit, now there are those who build up their look from the shoes and select the outfit that will look good on them. And shoes are indeed pivotal in creating an outfit. Black, pointy toes or ballet flat shoes for example can make a casual jeans and shirt look a bit more formal and more feminine. Shoes with bright accents sometimes call more attention than an entire outfit itself. Indeed shoes are more than just things for us to tread the ground with.

Women’s shoes are often designed very distinctively that’s why it is easily recognizable if a particularly beautiful pair of shoes is worn often. This also why women feel the need to have many pairs of shoes. Whenever an occasion comes that requires dressing up and careful planning of what to wear, like a prom, social gatherings, weddings, business functions, etc… it is not surprising that women often feel the need to buy a new pair.

Shoes are more than just items of clothing they can also be confidence boosters for ladies. High heels are especially designed to make a woman’s spine upright to help her keep her good posture. The slim heels and dainty design of stilettos make the wearer’s legs look slimmer and longer. Knowing that you’re walking with great shoes on makes you step forward with confidence.

If your budget does not permit you to have as many pairs as you would like, choose instead the shoes that you can use for more than one occasion and suitable for many looks. Simple designs will not call for much attention so you can wear them inconspicuously again. Look for shoes that you can wear with jeans and with a dress. It is also a good idea to add accents to your shoes yourself and create different designs. This will help you save more money.
