Are you ready to stop paying those super high prices for kids clothing or shopping at the cheapest stores only to find that every shrinks up or forms little holes very quickly? If so, then it is time to start shopping for the best name brands on the market but at a reduced rate. If that sounds appealing, consider all of your options to make it happen.
Garage Sales: This has been a great way to find used children’s clothing at very low prices, and they are making a come back in these tough financial times. If you can find a good area of town with a lot of affluent parents you can likely find some great yard sale prices.
Thrift Stores: From the big stores such as Goodwill or the Salvation Army to small mom-and-pop type thrift stores, this is another old but still relevant way to find reduced prices on clothing for your little ones. You may even be able to find brand new clothing with the tags still attached.
Auction WebSites: While you may be familiar with eBay, did you know there are now smaller sites that offer auctions with less competition? There are even some that allow members to trade amongst one another without either paying for more than shipping charges.
Internet Store Sales: Search for the official websites for all of the stores you would like to buy brand new clothing from. If you sign up for their free newsletters and alerts you will get warning of when there are sales online or even in the actual stores. You will often get advanced warning and there are some sales that are for internet purchases only.
Mark Downs: Do you like shopping the clearance racks? Most people do, but there is a way to get even lower prices than those racks already offer. Wait for a huge sale that covers the entire store and then apply that discount to the already marked down prices in the clearance section. There is a popular girl’s clothing store that routinely marks the entire store 40% off. If you take that discount to the clearance items you can get name brand clothing a yard sale prices, brand new!
Discount Retailers: Look around online for websites offering reduced rates on the best name brands every single day. You aren’t looking for big sales here, but every day reduced prices that make these expensive brands more reasonable.
Trades: This may be a long shot for some people, but if you can ask around your local area you may find someone who is willing to trade clothing with you. If they have children a little older or younger than yours, then it may work out as a fair trade that will save you both a lot of money.
Never pay full price for kids clothing! You can dress your little ones in the best styles and keep them adorably sweet every single day, without spending all of that money!
