Neoprene is a type of synthetic rubber that is produced by polymerization of chloroprene. It is used in a wide variety of products, such as wetsuits, laptop sleeves, orthopedic brace, and electrical insulation and even for car fan belts. It was invented by DuPont scientist in 1930.There fore it is a trademark of DuPont elastomers.
Because of its chemical inertness and stability it also has a wide range of industrial use. That is why it is used in the making of gaskets, hoses, electrical insulation, and also as protective clothing against chemicals. It also has higher fire resistant qualities than natural rubber. Hence it is used in materials that need to be highly fire resistant like fire doors and certain type of gloves.
As time went by clothing designers realized that neoprene could be used to make certain types clothing items. The first such clothing products were wet suits for surfers and divers, and also waders for fly fishers. Before this time, it has been a custom practice for people to have wooden chests and trunks to contain their belongings as they transfer from one place to another. As these trunks weighed heavily and consumed a lot of space, the desire for a compact-size thing to carry stuffs around has prompted the creation of what we today call as luggage.

If you are a skier and want to learn snowboarding, then you must first of all understand the difference between the two sports. The basic difference is that skiing is done on two skis while snowboarding is done on a single snowboard. You already know how it feels to slide across the snow with both your feet bound to an equipment, all you need to do is to get used to a single board instead of two skis.
While skiing, you have to put your body weight on both the skis attached to your feet that may stand apart from each other. But in snowboarding, you have to balance your body weight on an edge of the board and keep yourself balanced. As you are not given any poles to hold on to in snowboarding, you may take some time to get used to it. To deal with this, the first thing that you need to learn is how to fall without getting ourselves injured.
