Very few people who have attempted it can argue with the fact that shopping for plus size women clothing in ‘ordinary’ women clothing stores can be a frustrating affair.
After all, most of these ‘ordinary’ women clothing stores tend to be stocked, almost exclusively, with standard women clothing sizes, meaning that the plus size woman who goes out shopping for something to wear at them is bound to be in for a tough time. And since it is not good for business, you will never find such an ‘ordinary’ women clothing store putting a sign to the effect that they don’t stock plus size items; and it is therefore left for the plus size woman out shopping for clothing to discover the fact through experience, naturally after first going through a frustrating search.
All this comes from the fact that such ‘ordinary’ women clothing stores tend to ensure that they only stock what they consider ’standard’ women clothing sizes. The ordinary women clothing stores, of course, only stock standard women clothing sizes in a bid to ensure that they don’t end up with ‘non moving stock’ – and for most of them, plus size women clothing falls into that category of ‘non moving stock’ which they are hesitant to stock, in their bid to maintain fast stock turnovers.
