People use photography as a way to remember all the past events of their life. The change from one grade to the next, graduating from high school or college, marrying that special someone, when you bought your first house, or just as a way to mark the everyday events of life. It doesn’t matter whether the events themselves are important or life changing or not.
Babies are the most popular targets for photos and unfortunately the most difficult to capture on film. You need a lot of skill and patience in order to get a successful baby shot. One thing that you see often in such photos is red eye. Many people think that in order to capture everything well on film that they need to use a flash. This isn’t the case. In terms of babies, natural light is better than bright, glaring, artificial light.

If you are like most new mothers to be, trying to figure out what you will need for your new baby’s clothing and layette can be a daunting task. Of course you also have everyone’s opinion of the matter as well. One thing you should definitely keep in mind is what time of year your baby will be born. What season will it be when you give birth? For example, if it is Summer, heavy baby blankets may not be as necessary just yet. Buying clothing in neutral colors like yellow and green are a good idea if you do not know the sex of your baby yet.
For your baby’s layette, the list below is a good start:
* Diapers – approximately 350 for your first month if you are using disposable or 4 dozen if you are using cloth
* Mittens – cotton mittens for your newborn will help them from scratching themselves.
* Burping clothes
* Receiving Blankets – eight to ten
* Baby Socks or Baby Booties – eight to 10 pair
