People use photography as a way to remember all the past events of their life. The change from one grade to the next, graduating from high school or college, marrying that special someone, when you bought your first house, or just as a way to mark the everyday events of life. It doesn’t matter whether the events themselves are important or life changing or not.
Babies are the most popular targets for photos and unfortunately the most difficult to capture on film. You need a lot of skill and patience in order to get a successful baby shot. One thing that you see often in such photos is red eye. Many people think that in order to capture everything well on film that they need to use a flash. This isn’t the case. In terms of babies, natural light is better than bright, glaring, artificial light.

On the average, women put on quite some weight especially during the last trimester of her pregnancy. The real challenge is to fit into a bra her body has overgrown. If you are like most new mothers to be, trying to figure out what you will need for your new baby’s clothing and layette can be a daunting task. Of course you also have everyone’s opinion of the matter as well. One thing you should definitely keep in mind is what time of year your baby will be born. What season will it be when you give birth? For example, if it is Summer, heavy baby blankets may not be as necessary just yet. Buying clothing in neutral colors like yellow and green are a good idea if you do not know the sex of your baby yet.
For your baby’s layette, the list below is a good start:
* Diapers – approximately 350 for your first month if you are using disposable or 4 dozen if you are using cloth
* Mittens – cotton mittens for your newborn will help them from scratching themselves.
* Burping clothes
* Receiving Blankets – eight to ten
* Baby Socks or Baby Booties – eight to 10 pair

There are two ways to look at a pregnancy. Some women think of it as a time when they are unbelievably fat and unattractive, while others view it as a time of utmost and almost otherworldly beauty. It’s really the latter group that has the right of it. A woman’s pregnancy is one of the most special times in her life, and it should be enjoyed, celebrated, and remembered. Getting some maternity photography taken is a fantastic idea, but it has to be done just right. One important part of that is choosing the right clothes – or lack thereof.
A lot of women who are having maternity photos taken opt to do so in their birthday suits, or topless with some flattering underwear. This really plays in to the purity and beauty that is a woman with child. Obviously not every woman is going to be comfortable with that idea, but keep in mind that naked doesn’t have to mean exposed. You can always shoot from different angles or cover up the most private areas with an arm while still presenting that beautiful form.
