With the summer just past, the festive season will soon be upon us, so the savvy amongst us will start planning their Christmas presents now; why not join the smug faces sitting in the warm pub in the run up to Christmas, as the rest of us scurry about trying to find a last minute present that will suffice for our families and friends?
It is indeed true that it is not the price tag that counts but it is the love and affection that comes with the present that matters most. On the other hand, the value of a gift is also associated with how much it is worth. One of the most priceless and touching presents that a person can receive in this wonderful season is a diamond. It goes to show that you believe that the one you are giving it to is dear and valuable to you in comparison to a diamond.

Do you ever wonder if you have a real diamond or just a pretty imitation the cubic zirconia. Below are some of the ways to tell which one you have.
One of the things that someone can do to find out if it is a real diamond is to see if the stone is completly clear all the way through or not. If it is then it is more than likely a fake or cubic zirconia. The reason for this is because only the rarest of diamonds is completly clear.
Another way to tell a cubic zirconia from a diamond is to put the stone down on a newspaper or book or magazine and see if you can read some of the letters clearly through the stone. If you are able to read through the stone then it is more than likely a cubic zirconia.
The breathe test is another great test that is easily used to tell if you have a real diamond or a cubic zirconia. This test works by breathing on the stone and watching how fast it goes away. To do this test just simply blow on the stone like you would a pair of glasses and watch how long it takes for the fog to go away. If it goes away fast then it might be a real diamond. Read more... When we think of the “heart shape” we more often than not think of romance and love. It has managed to work its way into our treasured holidays such as St. Valentine’s Day, into our greeting cards and gifts, and into our designs of jewelry as well. This jewelry is often made out of precious metals (such as gold and silver) and gems (such as diamonds and rubies), and when we incorporate the “heart shape” we are creating an object that portrays the eternal ideas of not only romance and love, but caring and belonging as well. The “heart symbol” has been around for years, used to refer to the spiritual, emotional, moral, and intellectual core of humans. Getting engaged can be one of the most exciting events in any man’s life, and the most important issue to consider is an engagement ring. You cannot expect your girlfriend to take you seriously unless you can give her a ring, especially one that she will be proud to show off to her friends.
The usual reaction to realizing that an engagement ring is quite important when proposing, is for you to just go to your local jewelry store and pick the biggest, most expensive ring you can afford. However, that isn’t necessarily the best thing to do.
Why is that such a bad thing to do you may ask? Well, if you ask any reputable jeweler to choose between two diamonds laying next to each other. One is bigger than the other but the smaller one is of better quality I can guarantee you that all of them will choose the smaller one. Most additions to white gold is nickle or palladium and white gold that is 9k is 3 parts of gold to 5 parts of silver.
While there are many reasons to choose a white gold engagement ring, one big reason is the cost.
