Cool Places to Wear Your Hockey Jerseys and Support the NHL

Hockey is one of those niche sports that even though it is really awesome and a lot of people love it, it doesn’t get a lot of media attention. Fortunately there is a way for the little guy like us to change all of that. If we devote ourselves to wearing our authentic NHL hockey jerseys whenever possible, we’ll gather support for our team and start converting people into hockey fans in no time. There are a lot of great places to wear your hockey jerseys, let me give you a few examples.
Even if you’re not a season ticket holder for your favorite team you should still own at least one of their hockey jerseys. Make the investment in the team’s future so that you can go to the games and wear your hockey jersey in the stadium. No one goes to a hockey game dressed in a suit and tie anymore; that died out in the forties. Now it is all about the hockey jersey and you must wear it whenever you enter the home of your favorite team. Better yet, wear your favorite team’s jersey in a rival team’s stadium, that’s always fun!
When you’re out with your buddies having a few beers down at the local watering hole you are missing an ample opportunity to show your support for the National Hockey League if you aren’t wearing your favorite hockey jersey. Bars are social atmospheres and that makes them great places to advertise so get to it! Wear your hockey jersey to every bar you go to, as long as you are drinking beer and talking about the sport no one will know that you’re secretly trying to convert them to hockey fans.
If you’re not out there pounding the rink at least twice a week, then you aren’t a true hockey fan. Play pick up hockey games, join a league, play ice hockey and play roller hockey. There are tons of avenues out there if you just try and find the time. Make sure that whenever you do go out there and play with the boys that you always wear your hockey jerseys. I like to bring a dark jersey and a light jersey so that I can easily fit into one of the teams.
Even if you’re a boring old couch potato who does nothing but watch sports and Oprah all day you can still show your dedication to the great sport of hockey by wearing your jerseys around the house. Wear them in your underwear and wear them to bed, wear them while you’re sitting at the computer reading the latest statistics and wear them while you eat chips in front of the television. If you don’t wear them at home you’ll never wear them in public.
There are plenty of opportunities out there to wear your hockey jerseys and to show everyone how much of a sports fan you are. Get out there with your favorite team’s jersey on your chest, better yet, wear one of the classic hockey jerseys of your favorite team to show how deep and how long your devotion goes.
