A Debate Rages On: Boxers or Briefs?
Friday, 17. July 2009
It’s a debate that has existed for a long time now, forever it seems: briefs or boxers, boxers or briefs. No one has been able to settle it or even see that there was a need to settle it. That time is over.
The time for being wishy-washy or sitting on the fence and waffling over which is the better style of men’s undergarments is finished. The choice is today and you need to make it. Today, not tomorrow, but today. The fate of a debate free republic rests on your rapid response.
So, which is it, my friend, briefs of boxers? It’s really not rocket science or brain surgery, is it? It’s 50/50 one way or another, win lose or draw. But you must make a choice. You’ve got to do it.
Men will have their responses and women will have theirs. The reasoning will be very different for both.
Men get to choose how the material feels versus how it looks (comfort vs. aesthetics); women get to choose aesthetics over comfort. Quite frankly, men’s underclothing is not something that women are likely to wear.
On the other hand, when women purchase undergarments, they have their own comfort zone when it comes to boxers and briefs, don’t they? Actually, they have three possible choices when it comes to their undergarments: bikinis, briefs, or regular length or whatever the standard is in women’s underclothing. I’m not inclined to linger long in the women’s section of department stores often. If I’m getting something for my spouse, I don’t spend a lot of time lounging around the bras and panties. I’ve already made a decision before I get there and I know exactly how much time it will take to get what I need. it’s targeted and quick. No dilly-dallying. No putzing around. Other shoppers tend to get nervous around guys in a lingerie department. Don’t ask me how I know.
But, purchasing women’s undergarments is not what this debate is about. The online poll you’re a part of is a single solitary question. If you’re a man, one question. If you’re a woman, it’s the exact same question.
You will be one in six million people who vote on this issue because that’s the number of people who will vote on this issue before it’s closed out and finalized. Fortunately, you will have a say in the matter and it will be heard. Don’t take this responsibility lightly.
A number of individuals will be checking back at this same site regularly; and I think you should too. People will want to nab their friends (both men and women) to get in on this debate; and I think you should too. I said earlier that the fate of a free republic rests on your rapid response. Perhaps I didn’t state it clearly enough: the fate of the known world rests on the final outcome.
