Fail proof Way to Look Your Best on Your Big Night Out

Tuesday, 30. June 2009

There are a lot of special occasions that require a formal dress including weddings, school dances, corporate events, and holiday parties. So where do you start looking? I can tell you step one ” stay away from your local mall! Why would you want to shop where everyone else going to your even is also most likely to shop?

Know that there are two thing you should be considering when dress shopping:

1. shop for something that is appropriate for your body and 2. appropriate for the event you are attending.

These are seemingly common sense fashion rules, but unfortunately most people seem to lack common sense!

What does it mean to wear something appropriate for the event? First of all, it does not mean that you have to wear a pant suit to a corporate function. However, it does mean that you should not put on your shortest mini-skirt and your tallest high heels. So, put some thought into what activities will be taking place (where there be a lot of sitting, dancing etc) and what image you want to portray of yourself. You may look smoking hot in a dress, but is it what you want your boss to see you in? If you hold out for it, the perfect dress will make you look hot while also portraying an appropriate image.

Rolex Explorer II Review

Monday, 29. June 2009

I visited Switzerland a few year back. While I was there I ended up buying a Rolex Explorer II watch. The watch cost about $2000 which is pretty expensive in my books. The reason why I bought the watch was to sell it when I returned home and make a bit of money off of it.

In the end, I kept the watch for one reason or another. I personally love diving, so having a watch that is resitant to water up to 100 meters is great. I don’t dive that deep so this watch was just perfect. I have kept this watch while diving a few times and it works just as normal underwater.

The watch is a bit heavy because it weighs about 8 ounces though I can deal with it. This might be a problem to people who are arthritic though. The watch has a second hand, a minute, hour and second time zone hand as well as a date.

The date is in magnified by a bubble and the way the second hand ticks is very smooth. In addition there is a red hand that is set to your home time zone which is on the front of the watch. It is also very easy for you to adjust the black hand.

Kids Clothing And Wear To Find It

Monday, 29. June 2009

Most of us have children at some point or another in our lives. They can be the whole reason we exist sometimes. Taking care of them is a full time job in and of it self. Finding kids clothing is also a full time job. It seems kids favorite thing to do is grow really fast so you have to buy mew clothing every month.

In addition to buying clothing you have to keep them fed and bathed as well. In most cases the food you buy will end up on the clothes you buy. Make sure you have a decent detergent to clean it all out with. Nothings worse than mud or pasta sauce mixed in with paint. Sorry if I made some of you cringe in fear.

Kids will play as hard as they can as often as they can, it’s what they do. They will dig in any dirt pit, roll around in any pile of leaves they can find, and anything else they can get into. As you can surmise on your on this make clothes really filthy. Many clothing brands constantly try to build clothing that can stand up to children.

Camping And Hiking With Croc Shoes

Monday, 29. June 2009

If you’re heading to the mountains, be sure to pack those Crocs as they are ideal outdoor shoes, perfect for camping and hiking. They are lightweight, easy to clean and secure on the foot. While you might not think of Crocs as a hiking or camping kind of shoe, there are many reasons why these shoes are ideal for outdoor pursuits.

The main selling point over the years for Crocs has been their unmatched comfort. While wearing Crocs, you almost get that walking on air feeling that keeps you going all day long. This is why Crocs are becoming more and more preferred by professionals who spend all day on their feet, such as doctors and nurses. Luckily for the hiker in all of us, this comfort transitions over perfectly to a long day on the mountain. Let’s face it, a mountain hike is a foot’s worst nightmare. The long walks, steep inclines, and unforgiving terrain can leave your feet in agony. However, next time you go hiking, bring along your Crocs and you’ll enjoy the hike in comfort for much longer.

Free People Clothing Past to Present

Monday, 29. June 2009

Hot, trendy, chic and made expressly for young urban women: this is Free People clothing. Created by top designers in touch with today’s twenty-somethings, at least a piece or two of clothing and accessories each season are considered de rigueur for anyone wishing to stay in fashion.

History of Free People

It was way back in the 1970s when the first Free People store was opened. Dick Hayne was the owner and he began his business in Philadelphia. He was talented at finding clothing that was just right for young urban dwellers who had a need to express themselves. Hayne’s store quickly became very popular. One store turned into two and the name changed to Urban Outfitters.

At that time, Meg Hayne came on board to head the private label division. This was the arm of the business that was in charge of creating and producing products exclusive to Urban Outfitters. As these unique pieces started to fly off store shelves, Hayne got the idea to turn it into a wholesale line. It quickly grew and expansion took place through the separating of the retail and wholesale divisions. First known as Bulldog, then Ecote, then Anthropologie, Hayne and his wife finally settled back on the original name of Free People.

How to Pick How the Perfect Formal Dress for You

Monday, 29. June 2009

So I was getting ready for a cruise to celebrate graduating from college. I go to Dillard’s and buy a dress for formal night on the ship. Well, just at my seating alone there were 2 other women in my dress! So stay away from your local mall when shopping for formal dresses!

Keep these two things in your mind while looking for a dress:

1. you need to wear something that is perfect for you and 2. perfect for the event.

Okay, they may seem like obvious things, but I see people breaking these rules all the time!

Keep in mind who is running the function and which social group you will be around. If it will be family, then you probably should not dress like you want to pick up a man (save that outfit for your boyfriends’ fraternity brother’s wedding!).
